FB舊post(3) -- I suggest therefore I am (2)

This is the second part of my suggestions.

In my last essay, I suggested ways for former J party members to improve our SA. This time would like to suggest some ways for former P party members to establish better communication with students.

The theme of this essay would base on the word "listening". Listening is different from hearing. Hearing is to detect sound waves passively while listening is to process the stimuli and give suitable responses.

The suggestions below mainly focus on the short term actions that the newly formed SA could consider.

1) Organise a gathering for all active members who contributed for election

The main purpose of this gathering is to listen and provide a start for future cooperation. This would be a gathering in which the supporters of the two former cabinets can share their ideas. It would be open to all. We may bring out problems that happened during the election period and find solutions to solve them so that it can benefit the future elections. Also, we could share our feelings towards school issues and plans.

2) Proactively listen to active students

Active is not enough. To strive for a better SA, proactive listening would be a first step to achieve our goals. So what is proactive listening? It is actually just a little bit more than listening. That is to ask questions to everyone. Find someone that oppose you before and ask for feelings towards different policies. Asking questions may seem hard and it would seem odd to talk to someone you don't know. We may start from finding someone to introduce a friend to us.

I truly hope that my suggestions would be useful. Please do give some comments after reading.
